- Configure Dial Up Networking
In Windows 95, 98,2000,Milleniunm,XP and
Vista Double click "My Computer" on the Desktop
Double click on "Dial-up-Networking"
Double click on the "Make
new connection" icon. Remove "My Connection"
from the connection name box and type into its place
"Any name you want". Click "Next"
The area code box will need to be blank, and your ISP
telephone number.
The country code will need to be
"United Kingdom or the country you are from (263)".
Click "Next". Click "Finish". Right
click on the new connection. Left click on "Properties"
Remove the tick from "Use area code and dialling
properties". Click on the "Server types"
tab Remove all ticks apart from "TCP/IP" Click
on "TCP/IP settingsÅh. Remove the tick from
"Use IP header compression". Click "OK".
Close Dial-up-Networking
To check your Internet Options Double click "My
Computer" on the Desktop Double click on "Control
Panel". Double click on "Internet Options".
Click on the "Connections" tab".Always
dial my default connection" will need to have a
dot next to it. Highlight the connection. Click "Set
default". Click "Apply". Click "OK"
Close the Control Panel .To check Outlook Express Double
click "Outlook Express" on the Desktop. Click
"Tools". Click "Accounts". Click
the "Mail" tab. Highlight "your mail
server".
Click "Properties. Click the
"Connection" tab. Remove the tick from "Always
connect to this account using the default account."
Click "Apply". Click "OK". Click
"Close". Close Outlook Express.
